Paola Wescher
Paola Wescher iniciou sua carreira no Brasil há mais de 25 anos, primeiro ajudando a colocar a cidade onde nasceu, Curitiba, no centro das atenções culturais, levando música independente e fomentando a cena musical. Desde então se estabeleceu como promotora e criadora de festivais. Em São Paulo, co-criou a marca Popload, que abriu um novo nicho de mercado no país. Durante esse período, criou, promoveu e foi responsável pela programação de vários shows e festivais no Brasil, incluindo o primeiro grande festival latino-americano focado em diversidade, identidade e empoderamento feminino.
Em Portugal, Paola é diretora de booking da Last Tour PT e, além de programar e fazer o booking para festivais como Cala Mijas, Meo Kalorama, Kalorama Madrid e Bilbao BBK, também promove shows de pequeno, médio e grande porte como: Taylor Swift, Nick Cave, Cigarettes After Sex, BadbadnotGood, L'Imperatrice, Peter Cat Recording Co. e The Clockworks, Bala Desejo, Maro só para citar alguns.
Recentemente, junto com sua sócia Julia Neiva, criou uma nova empresa no Brasil, chamada Latina! que desenvolve projetos multiculturais com foco em educação e inclusão social.
Paola Wescher began her career in Brazil more than 25 years ago, first helping to put the city of her birth, Curitiba, in the cultural spotlight, bringing independent music and fostering the music scene. She established herself as a promoter and creator of festivals. In São Paulo, co-created a brand called Popload that opened up a new niche market in the country. During this time, she created, promoted and was responsible for programming several festivals in Brazil, including the first major Latin American festival focused on diversity, identity and female empowerment.
In Portugal, Paola is the director of booking of Last Tour PT and besides programming and booking for festivals like Cala Mijas, Meo Kalorama, Kalorama Madrid and Bilbao BBK, she’s also promoting small, medium and large concerts like: Taylor Swift, Nick Cave, Cigarettes After Sex, BadbadnotGood, L’Imperatrice, Peter Cat Recording Co., The Clockworks, just to name a few.
Recently, she created a new company in Brazil, called Latina, which develops multicultural projects with a focus on education and social inclusion.
