Nascido em 1982 no Algarve, é cantor e compositor luso-cabo-verdiano. Mistura soul, hip-hop, Batuku e Funaná em sua música. Lançou os álbuns Eu e os Meus (2008), Eva (2013), Mundu Nôbu (2019), Kriola (2020) e Badiu (2021), recebendo múltiplos prêmios, incluindo os Cabo Verde Music Awards e os Play Vodafone. Em 2021, foi reconhecido pela MIPAD como uma das 100 pessoas afrodescendentes mais influentes. Em 2023, recebeu a Medalha de Mérito Cultural e, em 2024, foi indicado ao Latin Grammy. É cofundador e presidente da Associação Mundu Nôbu.
Born in 1982 in the Algarve, is a Portuguese-Cape Verdean singer and songwriter. His music blends soul, hip-hop, Batuku, and Funaná. He has released the albums Eu e os Meus (2008), Eva (2013), Mundu Nôbu (2019), Kriola (2020), and Badiu (2021), earning multiple awards, including the Cabo Verde Music Awards and Play Vodafone. In 2021, he was recognized by MIPAD as one of the 100 most influential Afro-descendants. In 2023, he received the Medal of Cultural Merit, and in 2024, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy. He is also the co-founder and president of the Mundu Nôbu Association.
